The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jacob Watson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Watson throws a looping overhand right but Bair ducks down to avoid it.
Bair shoots in for a takedown but Watson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Bair uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Watson.
Bair looks for a takedown but Watson sprawls well.

Watson throws a hook to the side of Bair's head but Bair sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bair throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Watson was covering up waiting for the punch and Bair finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Bair closes the distance and clinches up with Watson, looking for a takedown. Bair pushes Watson against the ropes but Watson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Bair shoots for a double leg takedown but Watson sprawls well. He's pushed Bair's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Watson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Bair drops his hands momentarily and Watson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Watson sends Bair crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Watson is motioning to the referee to let Bair up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Watson lands a big right hand that sends Bair crashing to the mat! Watson stays standing though and waves Bair back to his feet!

Bair throws a low kick, looking for Watson's leg but Watson calmly moves out of range.

Bair shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Watson but Watson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bair walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Watson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Watson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bair walks away with a smile on his face. Watson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Bair fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Watson manages to avoid it.

Bair bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
