Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luke Tankard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Koshcheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koshcheck has chosen To Be Loved-Papa Roach as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tankard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Koshcheck really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tankard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tankard throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Koshcheck's waist but Koshcheck gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tankard off to one side.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Tankard is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Koshcheck.

Koshcheck is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Some bone on bone action there as Tankard checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Tankard throws a series of strikes that have Koshcheck backpedaling.

Tankard shoots in looking for a takedown. Koshcheck tries to sprawl out of it but Tankard keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Koshcheck manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Koshcheck does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Tankard throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Tankard creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Koshcheck sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Koshcheck takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Koshcheck wants to control but Tankard postures up.
Tankard sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Koshcheck is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Tankard is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Koshcheck knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Koshcheck for a finish.
