Cylo's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Skillet - Comatose. Jason Cylo has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myers lands with an overhand left.
A swing and a miss from Myers.
Myers lands a nice shot to the body.

Cylo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Cylo postures up.

Cylo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Cylo trying to control but Myers is working from the bottom.
Cylo wants to pass the guard but Myers is keeping the position.
Myers is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Myers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Cylo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Myers sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Myers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cylo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Myers tries to roll over but Cylo keeps him under control.

Myers has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cylo is working away from the top position though.

Cylo wants to pass to mount but Myers is defending the position.

Cylo is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Myers has managed to free his arm - good work.
Myers is not content to let Cylo control the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Cylo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Myers sizes up Cylo with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Cylo is breathing heavily.

Cylo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Myers tries to avoid it but Cylo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Myers to the ground. Myers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Cylo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cylo moves forwards but Myers connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Myers throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

James Myers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cylo takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Myers connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Cylo to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Myers!
