PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Bowness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Blue Sr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blue Sr has chosen I Gotta Feeling as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thomas Bowness!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Blue Sr!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blue Sr slaps away a takedown attempt from Bowness, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bowness walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Bowness decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Blue Sr makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Blue Sr throws a quick inside leg kick.
Blue Sr moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Bowness tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Blue Sr swivels and escapes.
Bowness takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Blue Sr cracks Bowness with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Bowness feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bowness has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bowness cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
