Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quick Smalls!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hammer Time!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Time shoots for a double leg takedown but Smalls sprawls well. He's pushed Time's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Some wild striking there from Smalls.
Smalls blocks a head kick by Time.
Time shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smalls as he avoids it easily.
Time fails with a takedown attempt.
Quick Smalls has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hammer Time.
Time bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Time misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Time tries to clinch there but Smalls circles away.
Time misses the shot to the body.

Time defending well as Smalls loads up on a big left hand.
Smalls throws a shot from downtown. Time moves away and avoids it.

Smalls shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Time manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Time not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Smalls decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Time, up you get!
Smalls looks to throw the jab but Time is out of range.
Time has his takedown stuffed

and Smalls counters with a single leg into guard. Time didn't expect that.

Smalls gets to his feet - Time follows without any prompting.
Time looks gassed!
Time shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Smalls counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Smalls.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Smalls decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Time uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Smalls.
Time circles away from the clinch attempt.

Time ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Time keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Smalls.
Smalls throws a looping overhand right but Time ducks down to avoid it.
Time avoids a kick to the body.
Smalls misses with a looping left.
Time uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smalls.

and Smalls counters with a nice double leg into side control. Time won't be happy with that.
Smalls has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Time!

Smalls stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Smalls swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Time avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Smalls shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Time manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Time is working an open guard so Smalls takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Time displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Smalls throws out the jab.
Smalls throws a push kick but Time slaps the foot to one side.
Smalls misses with a wild body shot.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Time slips under a jab.
Smalls thows a left - swing and a miss!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Quick Smalls dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Smalls misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Time pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Time shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Smalls counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Smalls.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smalls decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Hammer Time is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Smalls tries to close the distance and clinch up but Time swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Time moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

and Smalls counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Time!
Time is breathing heavily.
Time is squirming around, avoiding Smalls's attempts to control the action.

Smalls get's back to his feet.
Smalls misses with a wild body shot.
A combination from Smalls does no damage.
Hammer Time seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Smalls shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Time manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Time keeping moving, preventing Smalls from controlling successfully.

Smalls gets to his feet - Time follows without any prompting.
Time tries for a takedown but Smalls circles away easily
and Smalls counters with a lovely straight right hand!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Time fails with the takedown

and Smalls counters with a takedown into side control.
Quick Smalls has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hammer Time.

Smalls has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Time gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smalls preventing the sweep.
Smalls works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Smalls uses his free foot to push down on Time's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Time.
Smalls takes Time's back.
Time really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smalls. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Smalls is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Time with him. Time is trying to defend but Smalls has an arm under the chin now! Time grimaces and is forced to tap out!
