Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Rebrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drago Yahams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rebrov comes to the cage accompanied by russian jibber jabber. Drago Yahams has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Drago Yahams!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yahams cracks Rebrov with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Yahams gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Rebrov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Yahams sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Rebrov tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Rebrov misses with some punches.

Yahams jumps guard and drags Rebrov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Yahams wants to sweep here but Rebrov controlling him for the moment.
Yahams manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Yahams manages to capitalize on a mistake by Rebrov to take his back!
Rebrov is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Rebrov rolls, trying to escape but Yahams keeps control of the position.

Yahams just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Yahams has the hooks in. Rebrov is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Rebrov fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Rebrov swings wildly with an uppercut but Yahams uses good head movement to avoid it.

Rebrov lands a body shot in the clinch.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Yahams tries to move into range but Rebrov moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.


It looks like Drago Yahams has been cut.
Rebrov throws a hook but Yahams blocks it.
Yahams scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rebrov in his tracks.
Yahams moves forwards but Rebrov connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Yahams with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rebrov to score with a decent uppercut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rebrov throws an overhand right that lands on Yahams's shoulder, as Yahams tries to avoid the shot.
Rebrov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rebrov throws a hook to the side of Yahams's head but Yahams sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rebrov uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Yahams has time to react.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Yahams in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
Rebrov fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Yahams on the side of the head.
A swing and a miss from Rebrov.
Rebrov throws an overhand right that drops Yahams like a sack of potatoes! Rebrov dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
