Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniels has chosen hate me now as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Peters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Daniels!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Daniels defends it nicely.
George Peters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peters shoots in for a takedown but Daniels shows good takedown defense.
Peters uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Daniels.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
No luck for Peters with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Peters. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice sprawl there from Daniels as Peters shoots in.
Daniels is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Daniels throws a right and a left that both miss.
Daniels looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Peters tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Daniels swivels and escapes.
Daniels cracks a nice hook into Peters's ribs.

Daniels cracks Peters with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Daniels has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Peters to stand back up!


Peters is rocked!


It looks like George Peters has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Daniels gets caught flat footed, as Peters shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Oh Peters is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Peters is breathing heavily.
Daniels utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Peters seems to have got his legs back now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Daniels is looking to stand up but Peters isn't so interested in that idea.
Peters is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Daniels wants to stand but Peters is controlling the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Peters distracts Daniels with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Peters has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Daniels preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Daniels can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Peters showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Daniels.
Peters shoots in but Daniels avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Peters takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Daniels throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Peters shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Daniels pinned against the cage. Daniels gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Peters fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Daniels misses with a double jab.

Daniels drops Peters with a beautiful combination! Peters stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Daniels is looking for the KO!
Peters takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Daniels lands with a big right hook that stumbles Peters - he's out on his feet here! Daniels follows up with another monster hook that separates Peters from consciousness! Peters falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Daniels stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jack Daniels!
