Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ariel Franco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tappy McOut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franco comes to the cage accompanied by 50Cent - Ready for War. Tappy McOut is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ariel Franco! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tappy McOut! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franco cracks McOut with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Horrible takedown by McOut or perhaps it was just good defense by Franco which made him look bad. McOut shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Franco as he jumps to the side. McOut fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ariel Franco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tappy McOut. McOut shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Franco wants to control but McOut is having none of it. McOut working for a submission but Franco is keeping him at bay. The referee warns Franco that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
McOut has control of Franco's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Franco regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Franco gets back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. McOut wants to control but Franco is keeping him busy. McOut is working for a kimura but Franco is defending it quite comfortably.
McOut is working for a submission of some sort.
McOut looks gassed! Franco trying to control from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. McOut seems to be looking for submissions.
McOut wants to stand up but Franco has a hold of him and won't allow it. McOut is trying to work for a kimura but Franco is defending well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Franco misses with a leg kick. Franco cracks McOut with a good jab. Franco connects with a single shot there. McOut fails with an attempt to clinch.
Franco's corner calls for a 1-2. Franco obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McOut feints and as Franco raises his hands in defense, McOut changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. McOut won't allow Franco to sweep him here. McOut looking to pass the guard. McOut throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Franco keeping moving, preventing McOut from controlling successfully. Franco is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. McOut is looking to work some ground and pound but Franco has wrist control. Franco wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Franco utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

McOut looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Franco keeping full guard, as McOut tries to pass. Franco keeping moving, preventing McOut from controlling successfully. McOut is looking to work some ground and pound but Franco has wrist control. McOut wants to pass the guard but Franco is keeping the position. McOut throws a strike but Franco rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ariel Franco will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Franco fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Franco jabs at McOut's body. McOut shoots in looking for a takedown. Franco tries to sprawl out of it but McOut keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Franco manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. McOut moves into the clinch. McOut drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Franco gets the underhooks and prevents it.

That's one minute gone in the round. McOut is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Ariel Franco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tappy McOut. McOut can't get the takedown.
McOut is breathing heavily. A body shot lands from Franco.
McOut decides to pull guard. Franco has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. McOut being controlled here, momentarily. McOut keeping moving, preventing Franco from controlling successfully. McOut is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. McOut wants to hit a switch here but Franco passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for McOut there! Franco tries to control but McOut wriggling away. Franco content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McOut tries to reverse the position but Franco maintains control. McOut is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Franco knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McOut on the ground. McOut regains half guard. McOut tries to get to full guard but Franco has control of the leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. McOut manages to get to full guard.
Franco won't allow McOut to sweep him here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Franco is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. McOut keeping moving, preventing Franco from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ariel Franco dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Franco tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McOut was well out of range. Poor timing from Franco. McOut takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. McOut fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Franco sprawls well initially but McOut persists and gets the takedown into half guard. McOut is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. McOut wants to pass to mount but Franco is defending the position. Franco is trying to control but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round. Franco is trying to maintain the position but McOut is very close to passing his half guard. Franco is refusing to be controlled, as McOut sits in half guard. McOut is looking for a kimura here.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Franco thuds a left hand into McOut's body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Franco works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Franco looks to score with a jab to the body but McOut is just out of range. Franco misses with an uppercut. Franco lands with a straight right. McOut didn't see that one coming. No joy there for Franco, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Franco looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Franco is trying to break the clinch but McOut has him pressed against the cage. Franco goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Franco misses with a hook from the clinch. Franco prevents the takedown attempt.
Franco works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Franco lands an uppercut. McOut lands a shoulder strike. Franco lands a nice shot to the body. Franco lands a body shot in the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Franco scores with an uppercut up the middle. Franco tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Franco leaning his opponent against the cage. A short right hand to the side of the head by McOut. Tappy McOut has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! McOut tries for a takedown. No joy.

And that's the end of the fight! Ariel Franco showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Franco, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
