Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanomat pushes Rubiera up against the cage in a clinch.
Sanomat presses Rubiera against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

A frustrated look appears on Rubiera's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Rubiera gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sanomat.
Sanomat has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Rubiera clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Rubiera looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Sanomat is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Rubiera is defending well though. Sanomat let's go of the attempt for now.

Rubiera tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rubiera pulls Sanomat in close to his closed guard and prevents Sanomat from doing any damage or advancing position.
Sanomat has gone for a leg lock! Rubiera slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sanomat's guard.

Sanomat can't keep his opponent in guard - Rubiera advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Rubiera takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Rubiera closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Rubiera lands a nice shot to the head.
It looks like Helsingin Sanomat has been cut.
Rubiera content just to control the position here.

Rubiera tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Rubiera is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sanomat to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sanomat shrugs it off.
A nice elbow there by Rubiera.
The cut above Helsingin Sanomat's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Helsingin Sanomat's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
