The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
vstanka fails with a takedown attempt.
vstanka shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Man sprawls well. Man wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. vstanka gets slowly back to his feet.

Man closes the distance and pushes vstanka back into the cage.

Man breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Man with a lazy takedown attempt

and vstanka counters with a nice double leg into guard.
vstanka is stalling in the full guard.

Man had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. vstanka defends it easily.
vstanka pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Man is keeping the position for now.
vstanka prevents Man from getting back to his feet.

vstanka slips nicely into half guard.

vstanka looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
vstanka wants to lay and pray for a moment but Man keeps working.
vstanka stops Man from getting back to his feet.
Well, if vstanka is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Man tries to kick vstanka off but vstanka keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Man has one foot on vstanka's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Man throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around vstanka's waist but vstanka gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Man off to one side.
Man is breathing heavily.

vstanka darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
vstanka is pressing down on Man's thigh, looking to free his foot. Man is holding on for now.

vstanka is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Man tries to roll over but vstanka keeps him under control.
vstanka passes the guard and advances to mount!
Man is in a horrible position here. vstanka smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

vstanka prevents Man from getting the reversal.
