The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruin tries to clinch up.
Bruin is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like Dire Bruin has been cut.
Bruin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zimmerman sprawls well. Zimmerman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bruin gets slowly back to his feet.
Zimmerman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bruin.
Bruin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Bruin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Bruin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Zimmerman's guard now.
Bruin tries to free his leg and advance position but Zimmerman is retaining full guard.
Bruin throws a big right hand that misses.
Zimmerman pulls Bruin in close to his closed guard and prevents Bruin from doing any damage or advancing position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Levi Zimmerman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dire Bruin.

Zimmerman throws a hook to the side of Bruin's head but Bruin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Zimmerman throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bruin.
Bruin turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Bruin misses with a low kick.
Bruin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bruin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zimmerman's waist but Zimmerman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bruin off to one side.

Bruin has closed the distance and engaged Zimmerman in a clinch.
Zimmerman swings wildly with an uppercut but Bruin uses good head movement to avoid it.
Zimmerman looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Zimmerman lands a nice elbow.
Zimmerman throws a punch but it's blocked by Bruin.
Bruin is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Zimmerman is keeping busy.
Zimmerman lands an elbow just above Bruin 's eye.

That has opened up Dire Bruin's cut even more.
Zimmerman creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Zimmerman pushes off an throws an elbow but Bruin leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Zimmerman gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bruin.
