Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Holliday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hacky Sack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Holliday might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to BOOM!. Sack has chosen Sweet home alabama as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, John Holliday! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hacky Sack! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Kavanagh and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sack avoids the head kick by Holliday.
A punch combination from Sack misses. Holliday sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Sack to the ground! Holliday dives into full mount looking to finish!
Sack is rocked! Sack is looking to get to half guard. Sack is still in real trouble! Can Holliday finish him? Holliday is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Sack is surviving well by controlling Holliday's body position as best he can. Holliday goes for an armbar but he's not got it
Sack turns into him and now he's in Holliday's guard.
Sack seems to have recovered his senses. Holliday utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sack wants to control from the top but Holliday keeps moving. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sack accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Sack is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Sack must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sack postures up.
Holliday had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sack defends it easily. Sack is looking to work some ground and pound but Holliday has wrist control. Sack postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Holliday is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sack defends well. Holliday looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Sack chips away with some ground and pound. Holliday avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sack with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holliday is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sack working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Holliday's head. Sack postures up in Holliday's guard and throws a big left but Holliday blocks it. Holliday keeping moving, preventing Sack from controlling successfully. Sack postures up and lands a big shot to Holliday's brow. Sack lands a couple of decent looking shots. Holliday looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sack is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Holliday escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sack gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Holliday is breathing heavily. Sack postures up and lands a big shot to Holliday's brow. Sack lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holliday is trying to keep Sack in close.
Sack pushes down on Holliday's leg and manages to get into half guard. Holliday wants to improve his position but Sack is controlling well.
Sack content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Holliday is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sack's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sack's back! Holliday doesn't have the hooks in and Sack manages to turn into his guard.
Sack throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Sack throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Holliday works some decent striking defense from the bottom. That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Holliday has his foot on Sack's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sack works his way back into a safe position though. Sack scoring with punches to the head and body. Holliday working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sack doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sack manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sack stopping the sweep attempt from Holliday. Sack makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Sack wants to control from the top but Holliday keeps moving. Holliday is trying to control the position but Sack postures up. And thats the end of the round the fighters go back to their corners.
John Holliday dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Sack circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sack will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sack swinging wildly here.
Holliday misses with a combination
and Sack holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Holliday tries to pull guard but Sack holds him up against the cage and eventually Holliday drops back down to his feet.
Sack wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Holliday has him pressed against the cage. Sack breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sack waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Holliday. Holliday wants to clinch and Sack counters with a left and a right that stings Holliday. Holliday gets a clinch. Sack can't break the clinch.
Sack stalling in the clinch but Holliday improves position. Holliday digs a right hand into Sack's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Sack's gas tank. Sack is trying to break the clinch but Holliday has him pressed against the cage. Holliday tries to pull guard but Sack won't allow it.
Sack is breathing heavily. Holliday jumps into guard, dragging Sack to the mat.
Holliday working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sack doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sack manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sack is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Holliday has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Sack is looking to defend but Holliday has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Sack! Holliday pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Sack taps out and this one is all over!
