The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Daniels misses with a looping right.
Daniels throws a right and a left that both miss.
Galvao scores with a takedown into Daniels's guard.

Galvao advances to half guard.
Galvao is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Galvao seems to be working for a kimura but Daniels defends the submission attempt.
Galvao is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Daniels is just riding it out for now. Galvao eventually gives up the hold.
Galvao takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Galvao has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Galvao cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Galvao is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Galvao extends the arm and Daniels is forced to tap!
