The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norks throws a sloppy head kick and Janez moves out of range easily.
Norks tries to close the distance and clinch up but Janez swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Norks gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Janez to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Janez tries to free his leg and advance position but Norks is retaining full guard.
Janez works over Norks with some ground and pound from guard.
Norks wants to hit a switch here but Janez passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Norks there!
The referee warns Norks that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Norks tries to lock up and control but Janez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Janez has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Norks's body.

Norks is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Norks prevents Janez from getting a body triangle.
Norks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Janez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Janez is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Norks tries to clinch up but Janez circles away and keeps his distance.
Janez takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Herod Janez has been cut.
Norks throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Janez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Norks tries to close the distance and clinch but Janez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Janez shoots for a double leg takedown but Norks sprawls well. He's pushed Janez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

A slapping leg kick lands for Norks.
Norks is looking to clinch but Janez is avoiding it.

Norks lands a big head kick that sends Janez tumbling to the mat! Norks takes a step backwards and waves Janez back to his feet - he wants the finish!
