3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Swerro Jr! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swerro Jr gets caught flat footed, as Stonewall shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Swerro Jr keeping moving, preventing Stonewall from controlling successfully. Swerro Jr trying to keep a closed guard but Stonewall is proving a slippery customer.

Swerro Jr wants to stand but Stonewall is controlling the position. Stonewall drops back looking for a leg! Swerro Jr is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Swerro Jr manages to kick Stonewall off! Stonewall jumps back into Swerro Jr's guard. Stonewall is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swerro Jr is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Stonewall shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Swerro Jr sprawls well. Swerro Jr wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stonewall gets slowly back to his feet. Swerro Jr tries to score with a low kick but Stonewall moves his leg out of the way. Swerro Jr looks for the body kick but Stonewall saw that one coming. Swerro Jr scores with a nice head shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Swerro Jr throws a head kick but Stonewall moves out of range.
Stonewall really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Stonewall shoots in for a takedown but Swerro Jr shows good takedown defense. Stonewall changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Swerro Jr tries to avoid it but Stonewall manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Swerro Jr to the ground. Swerro Jr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fredrick Stonewall. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stonewall tries to score a power double leg takedown but Swerro Jr sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stonewall somewhat. Stonewall is breathing heavily. Stonewall fails to land the takedown. Stonewall avoids the head kick by Swerro Jr.
Stonewall drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Swerro Jr wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Swerro Jr tries to improve position but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stonewall tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Swerro Jr is pushing Stonewall's head away, looking to escape. Stonewall manages to hold on to the position though. Swerro Jr sneaks back into half guard. Swerro Jr is trying to stand.
Stonewall wants to work for an arm triangle but Swerro Jr is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Swerro Jr scores with a jab to the head.
Stonewall fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Swerro Jr has cracked Stonewall with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Swerro Jr lands another huge swinging hook and Stonewall tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Stonewall, before Swerro Jr can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mike Swerro Jr!
