Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maximillian Nero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Achilles The Immortal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nero shoots in and drives through. The Immortal sprawls well.
Nero pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Nero gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The Immortal has gone for a leg lock! Nero slips out almost immediately though and dives into The Immortal 's guard.

The Immortal is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nero is aware though and is defending well.

The Immortal drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Nero manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now The Immortal has Nero in his guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The Immortal had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nero defends it easily.

Nero is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of The Immortal 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take The Immortal 's back!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Nero is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. The Immortal knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften The Immortal for a finish.
Nero is trying to stick to The Immortal 's back but The Immortal is turning into Nero. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Nero's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by The Immortal .
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The Immortal postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Nero is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of The Immortal , into his guard.

The Immortal has his foot on Nero's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nero works his way back into a safe position though.

The Immortal working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nero doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nero manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
