Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Randaberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Cheese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randaberg comes to the cage accompanied by The Lucky Bullets . Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheese lands with a cross.

It looks like Ricky Randaberg has been cut.
Randaberg loads up on a big right hand but Cheese slips the punch.
Randaberg misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Cheese tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Randaberg paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cheese throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cheese closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Randaberg shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cheese as he avoids it easily.

Randaberg feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Randaberg throwing strikes from guard but Cheese blocks nicely.

Randaberg postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Cheese is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Randaberg, into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Randaberg has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

so Randaberg counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Cheese has his feet on Randaberg's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Randaberg takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Randaberg closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cheese did well to prevent Randaberg getting side control.
