The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nice uppercut lands for Carlton. That snapped Moraes's head back.
Moraes shoots in for a takedown but Carlton shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Moraes fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Carlton doesn't manage to clinch there - Moraes circles away.

Moraes jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Carlton walks away with a smile on his face. Moraes gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Moraes tries to pull guard but Carlton won't allow it.

Carlton connects with a nasty looking knee right to Moraes's face.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Moraes. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Moraes wants to get back to striking at distance but Carlton won't allow it.
Carlton lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Moraes tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Moraes jumps guard but Carlton stands there with Moraes around his waist. Moraes gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Moraes pulls guard effortlessly.

Moraes looking for a guillotine here but Carlton defends easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Carlton wants to stand but Moraes is controlling his posture from full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Moraes shoots in and drives through. Carlton sprawls well.
Carlton throws a head kick that misses.

and Carlton counters with a big head kick but Moraes shrugs it off.
Carlton dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Moraes. That did some damage!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Carlton doesn't manage to clinch there - Moraes circles away.

Carlton has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Carlton cracks Moraes with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Moraes fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Carlton thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Moraes if he has to take too many more of those.
Moraes takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
A head kick from Carlton lands but Moraes takes it in his stride.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Moraes takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Carlton lands a head kick that stumbles Moraes and the fighters go to the mat.
Oh Moraes is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Carlton wants to get up but he can't break Moraes's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Moraes seems to have got his legs back now.
Moraes is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Moraes looking for a triangle here. Carlton is fighting it but it looks tight! Moraes pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Carlton is tapping out - this one is all over!
