Taalasmaa comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Duran Duran - The Wild Boys kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Aleksander Malyshev had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Malyshev drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Taalasmaa tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Malyshev wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Malyshev is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Taalasmaa still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Taalasmaa has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Taalasmaa is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Taalasmaa extends the arm and Malyshev is forced to tap!
