The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slade changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Xtanspel tries to avoid it but Slade manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Xtanspel to the ground. Xtanspel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Xtanspel slips a straight right by Slade.
Xtanspel throws a right and a left that Slade avoids nicely.
Xtanspel slaps away a takedown attempt from Slade, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Xtanspel throws a hook to the side of Slade's head but Slade sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Xtanspel pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A decent looking cross lands there for Xtanspel.

Slade dodges the punch combination from Xtanspel.
Slade uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Xtanspel.
Slade misses with an uppercut.
Xtanspel looks to land a combination but Slade avoids it well.
Slade fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Slade. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Slade ducks under a wild hook from Xtanspel.
Slade tries to score a power double leg takedown but Xtanspel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Slade somewhat.
Xtanspel digs a good body shot into Slade's ribs.

Xtanspel tries to keep at a distance but Slade has taken the fight into the clinch.

Xtanspel wants to break free but Slade has control.

Xtanspel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Slade looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Xtanspel connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Slade takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Xtanspel moves into range and connects with a jab.
Xtanspel misses with a hook.
Xtanspel throws a nice looking combination but Slade bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Xtanspel looks to land a left hand but Slade moved out of range nicely.
Xtanspel darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Slade is rocked!
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Slade. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Slade misses with a takedown attempt - Xtanspel sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Slade is breathing heavily.

and Slade counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Frank Xtanspel has been cut.
Xtanspel scores with a one two! Slade had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Xtanspel, right into the meat.
Xtanspel cracks a nice hook into Slade's ribs.

Xtanspel drops Slade with a beautiful combination! Slade stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Xtanspel is looking for the KO!
Oh Slade is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Xtanspel engages and cracks Slade with a massive lead left hook - Slade tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Xtanspel is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
