PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between peter griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burbank Bulldog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bulldog has chosen British Bulldog as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
griffin showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bulldog.
griffin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bulldog moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
griffin throws a jab when Bulldog was well out of range.
griffin misses with a hook.
griffin throws a shot from downtown. Bulldog moves away and avoids it.
griffin lands a right hook to the body.

griffin gets caught flat footed, as Bulldog shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bulldog stops griffin from standing up.
Bulldog wants to stand but griffin has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Bulldog drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and griffin dives on top into guard.

Bulldog changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. griffin tries to avoid it but Bulldog manages to keep hold of a leg and drag griffin to the ground. griffin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bulldog shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in griffin's guard.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from griffin.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bulldog is defended easily by griffin.
peter griffin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Burbank Bulldog.

Bulldog moves into the clinch successfully.
griffin is trying to break the clinch but Bulldog has him pressed against the cage.

Bulldog escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Bulldog closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bulldog tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bulldog has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bulldog throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

griffin misses with a series of wild punches.
griffin loads up on a big right hand but Bulldog slips the punch.

A jab-cross combination lands for Bulldog and sends griffin crashing to the mat! Bulldog follows him down to the mat - griffin regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Bulldog looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Oh griffin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bulldog seems to be looking for submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bulldog is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
griffin seems to have got his legs back now.
griffin is not content to let Bulldog control the position.

Bulldog is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but griffin still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, griffin has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

That was a close second round but I would say that peter griffin will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Bulldog bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in griffin's guard.
