The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Everton or perhaps it was just good defense by Voganoff which made him look bad.
Eddie Everton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Everton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Voganoff swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Voganoff had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Everton is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Voganoff Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Everton's back instead.
