PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Dagani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tra Fulton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dagani has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dagani lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fulton circles away quickly and effectively.
Fulton lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Fulton lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Fulton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dagani is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Fulton is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dagani knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Fulton tries to score with some ground and pound. Dagani controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fulton wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dagani, who protects the arm well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fulton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Fulton darts in and clinches Dagani up against the ropes.
Fulton lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Dagani backwards.
Fulton drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's time! Dagani's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Fulton takes the fight into the clinch.

Fulton turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Fulton manages to end up in side control.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Fulton. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Dagani regains half guard.

Fulton is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Fulton is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dagani defends it well.

Dagani rolls with it to try and escape but Fulton cranks on the arm and Dagani is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
