Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elan Tedroni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Handy Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Tedroni. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Tedroni shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Couture but Couture pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Couture wants to stand up but Tedroni is controlling the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Couture is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Couture throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Couture wants to advance to full mount but Tedroni doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Couture must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Tedroni has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Couture finds it's way round the side to connect with Tedroni's head.
