The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavares throws a front kick aimed at Cooke's knee but Cooke avoids it well.
Tavares moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Tavares throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gabriel Tavares seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Cooke or perhaps it was just good defense by Tavares which made him look bad.
Tavares tries a head kick but it misses.
Tavares pushes Cooke away with a front kick.
Cooke looks gassed!
