The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGillicutty pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
kaine throws a wild body kick that McGillicutty sees coming a mile off.

kaine closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
kaine sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but McGillicutty is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
kaine looks up at the clock and then as McGillicutty takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, kaine smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
kaine turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
McGillicutty moves in looking to clinch but kaine pushes him off.
A jab from kaine finds it's way through McGillicutty's defenses.

It looks like Kane kaine has been cut.
Bugs McGillicutty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

kaine closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. kaine connects with a nice short shot to McGillicutty's temple.

McGillicutty throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and kaine counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
kaine changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McGillicutty tries to avoid it but kaine manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McGillicutty to the ground. McGillicutty escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

McGillicutty tries to bum rush kaine with a series of wild strikes but kaine uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kane kaine.
