Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Remco van Noordstrum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy OKrapp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Remco van Noordstrum had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

OKrapp shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in van Noordstrum's guard.
van Noordstrum utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
OKrapp trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

van Noordstrum has his foot on OKrapp's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. OKrapp works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
OKrapp is looking to work some ground and pound but van Noordstrum has wrist control.

van Noordstrum is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and OKrapp defends well.
OKrapp distracts van Noordstrum with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
OKrapp content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
OKrapp lands a couple of digs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

van Noordstrum has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but OKrapp can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
OKrapp wants to stand but van Noordstrum has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

van Noordstrum looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

OKrapp working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

OKrapp got a little sloppy there for a moment and van Noordstrum has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, OKrapp has managed to get both his arms back between van Noordstrum's legs - danger averted.
OKrapp really doesn't want to stay on the ground with van Noordstrum. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
OKrapp postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

OKrapp looking to sit in guard and control but van Noordstrum gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
OKrapp throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
van Noordstrum works a leg free and moves into half guard.
van Noordstrum looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
OKrapp is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
OKrapp can't escape the position.
OKrapp flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
van Noordstrum fails to move to back control.
OKrapp throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
OKrapp is trying to escape the mount but van Noordstrum keeps good control and instead manages to take OKrapp's back.

van Noordstrum just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

van Noordstrum working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. OKrapp is doing well to defend. van Noordstrum seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! OKrapp is forced to tap and this one is over!
