Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Brutus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Tyree (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyree has chosen Can't Be Touched by Roy Jones Jr. as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyree throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Brutus.
Tyree misses with a hook. Brutus ducked under it nicely.
Tyree throws a hook to the side of Brutus's head but Brutus sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tyree defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Brutus.
Tyree throws a series of punches but Brutus avoids them all with ease.

The ground and pound from Brutus seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Brutus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tyree wants to get back to his feet but Brutus drags him back down.
Tyree avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Brutus.
Brutus remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Tyree's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
