The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
French shoots in for a double leg but Jameson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A nice inside leg kick there by Jameson. That's going to slow French down.
Jameson really is a fat lump.

Jameson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. French looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
French is trying to improve his position.

French shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than French was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

French is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jameson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

French swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Jameson is now in French's guard. A big mistake from French there, giving up the dominant position!

and Jameson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and French counters with a nice uppercut.
Jameson is looking to clinch but French is avoiding it.

Jameson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jameson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
French has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jameson is proving hard to escape from.
French is fighting to break Jameson's control of his arms but Jameson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
French is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
