PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hjalmar Klason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Furious Bastard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Klason comes to the cage accompanied by (Hed) Pe - Raise Hell. The key to victory for Hjalmar Klason has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hjalmar Klason!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Furious Bastard!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bastard shoots in but no luck this time.

Bastard closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bastard lands in his opponent's guard.

Bastard drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bastard jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Klason pulls Bastard in close to his closed guard and prevents Bastard from doing any damage or advancing position.

Bastard drops back looking for a leg! Klason is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Klason manages to kick Bastard off! Bastard jumps back into Klason's guard.
Bastard wants to pass the guard but Klason is keeping the position.
Klason thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Bastard postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Klason is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Klason is trying to control the action in half guard but Bastard is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Bastard tries to get to full guard but Klason has control of the leg.
Klason seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bastard does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Klason takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Klason prevents Bastard from improving his position.
Bastard misses with some strikes from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bastard tries for a takedown but Klason sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Klason pushes Bastard up against the cage in a clinch.
Klason misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Bastard.

Klason breaks from the clinch.
Klason keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hjalmar Klason has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Furious Bastard.
Klason misses with a few strikes there.

Klason slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
