PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Demarcus DeSilva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jinx Delgulo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Delgulo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Starlight kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Demarcus DeSilva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jinx Delgulo!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Delgulo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A head kick misses from DeSilva.
Delgulo throws a lazy head kick
and DeSilva counters with a solid body kick.
Delgulo looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Delgulo avoids the head kick by DeSilva.
DeSilva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Delgulo steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from DeSilva. That one must have hurt.
DeSilva buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
DeSilva lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
DeSilva throws a jab when Delgulo was well out of range.
DeSilva misses with a body kick.
Delgulo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
DeSilva lands a nice leg kick that just misses Delgulo's sensitive parts.
DeSilva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Delgulo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with DeSilva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

DeSilva bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Delgulo's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
DeSilva wants to pass the guard but Delgulo is keeping the position.

DeSilva seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
DeSilva's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Delgulo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
DeSilva throws a leg kick which misses Delgulo's front leg but catches the back leg as Delgulo tries to avoid it.

and Delgulo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Delgulo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Delgulo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as DeSilva sprawls well. DeSilva wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Delgulo gets slowly back to his feet.

A close second round but Jinx Delgulo will probably get the nod - 10:9.

DeSilva shoots in and bounces Delgulo off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.

The fight stays on the outside here - DeSilva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

DeSilva is edging up against the ropes. He's using the ropes to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Demarcus DeSilva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jinx Delgulo.

Delgulo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as DeSilva walks away with a smile on his face. Delgulo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Jinx Delgulo has got the better of the ground game so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
