Le Bou has chosen in the Night Garden Theme Tune as his entrance music. Harry Slater could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Thom Le Bou's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Harry Slater!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Thom Le Bou!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slater shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Le Bou as he jumps to the side.
Le Bou slips under a jab.

Slater gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Le Bou to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Slater working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Le Bou.
Le Bou working some strikes from top position.
Slater trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Le Bou drops back looking for a leg! Slater is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Slater manages to kick Le Bou off! Le Bou jumps back into Slater's guard.
Slater knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Le Bou on the ground.
Le Bou throwing strikes from guard but Slater blocks nicely.
Le Bou pushing down on Slater's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Le Bou is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Slater is looking to improve his position.
Slater wants to get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slater makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Slater.

Slater pushes Le Bou off and gets back to his feet.
Le Bou looks to score with a jab to the body but Slater is just out of range.
Le Bou misses with an uppercut. Slater saw that one coming.
Slater has his takedown stuffed

and Le Bou counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Le Bou lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Le Bou trying to control but Slater is working from the bottom.
Le Bou is stalling in the full guard.
Le Bou postures up and lands a big shot to Slater's brow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Slater wants to stand up but Le Bou is controlling him.

Le Bou drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Le Bou jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Le Bou accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Le Bou keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Slater's head.
Le Bou wants to control from the top but Slater keeps moving.
Le Bou trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Le Bou postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Slater throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Slater doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Le Bou counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Slater's guard now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Harry Slater. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Slater looking to hit a scissor sweep but Le Bou is one step ahead there.
Le Bou scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Le Bou is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Slater wants to get back to his feet but Le Bou is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Le Bou is looking to work some ground and pound but Slater has wrist control.
Le Bou trying to control but Slater is working from the bottom.
Le Bou lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Le Bou has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Le Bou makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Le Bou is working Slater over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Slater trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Le Bou wants to control from the top but Slater keeps moving.

Le Bou won't allow Slater to get back to his feet.
Le Bou makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Le Bou preventing the sweep.
Slater can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Le Bou controls the pace.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Le Bou accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Le Bou trying to control the position from guard on top but Slater is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Slater throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Le Bou chips away with some ground and pound.
Le Bou is standing up over Slater. Slater looks to escape but Le Bou dives into side control.
Le Bou lands a decent elbow from side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Le Bou lands a nice forearm strike.
A lull in the action here.
Slater is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Le Bou asserts his dominance and retains side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thom Le Bou dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Slater swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Le Bou displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Slater throws out the jab.
Slater keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Slater throws a good cross that connects.
Slater throws a lazy right hand but Le Bou sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Le Bou throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Slater was covering up waiting for the punch and Le Bou finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Le Bou cracks Slater with a solid left hand.
Le Bou makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Le Bou scoring with some ground and pound.
Le Bou pushes down on Slater's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Le Bou prevents Slater from improving his position.

Le Bou is trying for a kimura here. Slater looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Le Bou wins by kimura!
