Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between LJ Gibbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Whistler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gibbs comes to the cage accompanied by LJ Gibbs. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, LJ Gibbs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Whistler!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibbs closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gibbs lands in his opponent's guard.
Whistler looking for a sweep. Not yet Whistler, not yet.
Gibbs trying to control the position from guard on top but Whistler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Whistler throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Gibbs has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Gibbs wants to control from the top but Whistler keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gibbs throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Gibbs thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Whistler has his foot on Gibbs's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gibbs works his way back into a safe position though.
Gibbs wants to control from the top but Whistler keeps moving.
Whistler is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gibbs is trying to control but can't.
Whistler is pressing down on Gibbs's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gibbs is holding on for now.
Whistler is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gibbs doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Whistler.
Gibbs pushes Whistler off but Whistler dives into side control.
Gibbs struggling a bit here.
Gibbs gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gibbs tries to kick Whistler off but Whistler keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gibbs manages to get to full guard.
Whistler postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gibbs is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Whistler, into his guard.
Gibbs trying to control but Whistler is working from the bottom.
Gibbs is really struggling to control Whistler but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Whistler looking for a triangle here. Gibbs is fighting it but it looks tight! Whistler pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Gibbs is tapping out - this one is all over!
