Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Locke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Springer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Locke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jerry Springer! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Springer. Springer clobbers Locke with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Locke throws a right and a left that both miss. Locke avoids a punch combination nicely.
Locke throws a lazy right hand but Springer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Springer stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Locke tries to land a front kick but Springer steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Locke fails in his attempt to clinch. Locke throws a combination that misses and Springer counters with a one-two to the body. Locke tries to clinch but Springer is having none of it. Locke dives in and grabs Springer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Springer pushes down on Locke's head and hops out. Locke throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Springer's waist but Springer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Locke off to one side. Locke is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Locke moves into range and clinches up with Springer. Springer looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Locke pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Locke misses with the combination.
Springer plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Springer circles away from the clinch attempt.
Springer lands a nice hook to Locke's body. Locke takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Locke with a poor takedown and Springer counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Locke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Locke is breathing heavily.
Springer moves into the clinch.
Springer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Springer lands with a slapping head kick.
Springer shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Springer was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Springer can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Locke is looking to escape. Springer misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Springer throwing strikes here but Locke is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Locke is in all sorts of trouble here.
Springer pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Springer throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Locke wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Springer.
Springer cracks Locke with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Springer throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Locke is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Locke manages to regain half guard. Good work. Springer throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Springer throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Springer is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Locke has managed to free his arm - good work.

Locke wants to improve his position but Springer is controlling well.
Locke kicks Springer off and gets back to his feet.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Locke throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Springer moves into the clinch. Springer tries for a takedown. No joy.
Springer wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Locke has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Springer avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Springer tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Locke smiles and moves away.
No joy there for Springer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Locke closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Springer did well to prevent Locke getting side control. Locke is trying to control. Springer wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Springer manages to escape and get back to his feet! Springer closes the distance and lands a one-two. Locke doesn't succeed with the takedown and Springer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
 That's four minutes gone in the round.
Locke darts in and clinches Springer up against the cage. Locke fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Springer wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Locke trying to control the position but instead, Springer has worked for underhooks and has pushed Locke into the cage. Springer tries to circle away but Locke has him pinned against the cage.
Springer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Springer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Locke moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Locke shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Springer lands a nice hook to Locke's body. Locke takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Locke showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Springer.
Locke has closed the distance and engaged Springer in a clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Locke stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Locke turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Springer avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Locke. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Jerry Springer dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Springer works over Locke's head and body with a nice combination. Locke misses with a hook. A head kick misses from Springer. Springer tries to clinch up. Locke has a takedown stuffed. Locke on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Springer lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. No luck for Locke with that takedown attempt. Locke fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Locke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Springer throws a sloppy head kick and Locke moves out of range easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Locke doesn't manage to clinch there - Springer circles away.

Locke keeps the fight on the outside. Locke moves in looking to clinch but Springer pushes him off. Springer lands with a nice combination. Locke backs away looking to recover. Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Springer shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Locke manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Springer content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Locke is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Springer is aware though and is defending well. Locke is looking to stand up but Springer isn't so interested in that idea. Locke not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Locke is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Springer is controlling him. Springer lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Springer throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Springer throwing strikes but missing.

 Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Locke is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Springer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Springer working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Springer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Springer lands a couple of elbows. Locke is looking to stand up but Springer isn't so interested in that idea. Locke is wriggling around but Springer manages to pass to half guard.

 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Springer lands with a nice combination. Locke backs away looking to recover.

and Springer counters with a good, hard body kick but Locke shrugs it off.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Springer has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Locke has Springer pressed against the cage, preventing Springer from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Springer breaks the clinch.
Springer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Locke tries to clinch but Springer is having none of it. Locke tries a head kick but it misses.
A punch combination from Springer misses. Locke is looking to clinch. Springer lands a nice looking kick to the body. Locke takes a step back to recover. Locke slips a jab and a cross from Springer.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Springer looks to land a combination. Locke sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Locke clinches up against the cage. Springer tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Springer is trying to force a seperation but Locke has the dominant position. Locke jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Springer walks away with a smile on his face. Locke gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. A combination from Locke does no damage. Springer lands with a nice combination. Locke backs away looking to recover. Locke tries to close the distance and clinch up but Springer swats him away and circles back towards the center. A right-left combo lands from Springer. Locke looks to clinch

Jerry Springer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

It looks like Jerry Springer has been cut. Springer moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. A jab from Locke misses. Springer throws a series of punches but Locke moves out of range. Springer circles away from the clinch attempt.
Springer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Locke swats him away and circles back towards the center. Springer throws a left and a right that both miss
and Locke counters by moving into the clinch. Locke tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Springer just stands there and leans against the cage. Locke holding his opponent close, against the cage.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Springer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Locke tries to clinch but Springer moves out of range. Locke closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Locke lands in his opponent's guard. Locke lands a couple of decent looking shots.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Springer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Locke is controlling him. Locke stands and throws Springer's legs to the side, diving into side control. Locke content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Locke trying to control the position but Springer is working away.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Springer is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Locke is controlling him well. John Locke has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Springer avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Locke. Locke wants to lay and pray for a moment but Springer keeps working.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Springer is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Locke scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Springer avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Locke. Locke working the ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! John Locke showed his dominance in that final round. I think Springer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
