The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Araujo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
King takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Araujo moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Araujo throws a head kick but King moves out of range.

Araujo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Araujo.

Rickson Araujo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

King is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

King postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Araujo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of King, into his guard.

King throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Araujo's waist but Araujo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing King off to one side.

King shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

King shoots in looking for a takedown. Araujo tries to sprawl out of it but King keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Araujo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

King shoots in for a takedown but Araujo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

King changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Araujo tries to avoid it but King manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Araujo to the ground. Araujo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

King sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

King has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Araujo finds it's way round the side to connect with King's head.

King chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Araujo can pounce on him.
