The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Davis controlling the position from side mount.
Auld is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Auld wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Davis tries to score with some ground and pound. Auld controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Auld is trying to control Davis's posture but Davis avoids it.
Auld is pushing Davis's head away, looking to escape. Davis manages to hold on to the position though.
Davis is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Auld is trying to escape and Davis transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Auld is forced to tap! Nice work there by Davis! Very nice indeed!
