PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arsene Wenger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Wenger throws out a loose jab but Savage uses good head movement to avoid it.
Savage tries to clinch there but Wenger circles away.
Savage avoids the body shot from Wenger.
Wenger listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Wenger connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Savage tries to clinch but Wenger moves out of range.
Wenger scores with a jab to the jaw.
A lazy left from Wenger finds it's target.
Savage tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wenger swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Savage is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Wenger slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Wenger is pushing down on Savage's leg trying to pass to half guard. Savage is fighting to maintain full guard but Wenger has managed to sneak the leg through.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Wenger has control of Savage's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Savage regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

BOOM! Wenger connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's time! Wenger's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Wenger scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Savage doesn't seem bothered though.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
