The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartman scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like Urijah Faber has been cut.
Faber shoots in for a double leg but Cartman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Cartman misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cartman tries to bum rush Faber with a series of wild strikes but Faber uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Cartman drives through and clinches with Faber against the cage.

Cartman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cartman throws a right and a left that both miss.
Cartman lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Cartman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Faber circles away quickly and effectively.
Cartman throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Faber stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Cartman looks to land a combination but Faber avoids it well.
Faber shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cartman but Cartman pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cartman lands a jab to Faber's midsection.
Faber misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Eric Cartman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Urijah Faber.
Cartman looks to land a combination. Faber sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cartman lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Faber backs up against the cage.
Faber shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Faber looks gassed!
Cartman misses with a series of wild punches.
Faber shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cartman sprawls well. Cartman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Faber gets slowly back to his feet.

Cartman uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Faber is rocked!

That has opened up Urijah Faber's cut even more.
Cartman is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Faber flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Faber is out cold! Cartman holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
