Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Matt McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Lighting (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Matt McGee has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matt McGee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Lighting!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lighting is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in McGee's half guard.

McGee might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

McGee wants to improve his position but Lighting is controlling well.
Lighting looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lighting shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lighting was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

McGee swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Lighting closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lighting lands in his opponent's guard.

Lighting is looking to work some ground and pound but McGee has wrist control.

McGee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lighting gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lighting takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Matt McGee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from McGee does no damage.

Lighting shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McGee's guard.

Lighting feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
George Lighting has got the better of the ground game so far.
Lighting won't allow McGee to get back to his feet.

George Lighting showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Lighting shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
McGee rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lighting moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
