Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ross Jacob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and yaw yan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jacob might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Champion. yan comes into a darkened arena with his song building. bad romance kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacob moves out of range of the body kick from yan.
yan throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Jacob fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. yan sprawls well initially but Jacob persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

yan holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
yan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jacob. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
yan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
yan won't allow Jacob to pass to mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jacob is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Jacob is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so yan is just riding it out for now. Jacob eventually gives up the hold.
