Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Jones Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmie Jameson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Jones Smith!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmie Jameson!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jameson looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Jameson has eaten all the pies!

Jameson stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Jameson attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Jameson moves into the clinch successfully.
Smith is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.

Jameson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Smith clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Oooh a big shot gets through from Jameson. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jameson slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Smith is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Jameson gets his way!

Jameson really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Smith.
Smith prevents Jameson from getting a body triangle.

Smith is covering up but some of the strikes from Jameson are getting through and doing damage.

Jameson is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Jameson trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Smith doesn't escape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Smith is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Jameson gets his way!
Jameson looks gassed!
Smith wants to control his opponent's hands but Jameson gets his hands free.

Jameson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Smith has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Jimmie Jameson dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Jameson throws a big shot that misses.

Smith gets caught flat footed, as Jameson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Jameson is looking to stand up but Smith won't let him.
Smith keeping moving, preventing Jameson from controlling successfully.

Smith working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jameson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jameson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Smith manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Smith can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jameson is looking to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jameson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Jameson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Jameson bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Smith trying to keep a closed guard but Jameson is proving a slippery customer.
Jameson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Smith working for a triangle but Jameson defends it easily.

Jameson gets to his feet. Smith looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jameson throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.

Jameson gets a takedown into half guard.
Jameson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jimmie Jameson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jameson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Smith walks away with a smile on his face. Jameson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Smith tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Jameson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Smith won't be happy with that.

Jameson stands up.
Smith shoots and misses

and Jameson counters with a shoot takedown. Smith fights it but they end up in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jameson advances to half guard.
Jameson is taking a breather. Smith says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Jameson passes to full mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jameson sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Jameson get's back to his feet.
Jameson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Smith in his tracks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jameson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Smith looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Jameson controls the position.
Smith is trying to work for a sweep but Jameson has mounted him!
Jameson content just to control the position here.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Smith keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jameson with a couple of short strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jameson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jimmie Jameson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jameson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
