The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ronan throws a head kick that misses.
Aronoff lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Ronan fails in his attempt to clinch.

Aronoff throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ronan.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Aronoff looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ronan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Aronoff is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That was a close round but I would say that Mark Aronoff will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Aronoff throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ronan on the side of the head.

Aronoff sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Ronan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ronan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Aronoff drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ronan dives on top into guard.
