Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nyrkki Kyllikki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jeffrey Penn !
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Kyllikki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Penn shoots in but Kyllikki avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Penn doesn't manage to clinch there - Kyllikki circles away.
Kyllikki stuffs the takedown attempt from Penn . Penn gets slowly back to his feet.
Kyllikki thuds a left hand into Penn 's body.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Penn is defended easily by Kyllikki.
Nyrkki Kyllikki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeffrey Penn .
A left lands for Kyllikki.
It looks like Jeffrey Penn has been cut.
Penn looks gassed!
Kyllikki lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Kyllikki scores with a jab. Penn acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Penn shoots in looking for a takedown. Kyllikki tries to sprawl out of it but Penn keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kyllikki manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kyllikki lands a left and a right that send Penn crashing to the mat, dazed. Kyllikki thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Kyllikki feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Penn sprawling to the canvas! Penn rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kyllikki finish him?!
That has opened up Jeffrey Penn 's cut even more.
Kyllikki drops Penn with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Penn ! Kyllikki dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nyrkki Kyllikki!
