Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eisenstein Priestley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mariusz Pudzianowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mariusz Pudzianowski! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Priestley gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pudzianowski to score an easy takedown into full guard. Priestley keeping moving, preventing Pudzianowski from controlling successfully. Pudzianowski pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Priestley is keeping the position for now. Pudzianowski drops back, looking for a kneebar! Priestley looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Priestley looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Priestley! Pudzianowski is trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pudzianowski is trying to control Priestley's posture but Priestley avoids it. Pudzianowski tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Priestley wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Pudzianowski manages to work his way to half guard, despite Priestley's best efforts. Priestley wants to stand up but Pudzianowski has a hold of him and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Pudzianowski with the active half guard here but Priestley passes nicely into side control. Priestley tries to advance to mount but Pudzianowski denies him. Pudzianowski is looking to regain half guard here but Priestley keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Priestley decides to take the fight back to the feet. Priestley tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Pudzianowski closes this distance looking for a takedown but Priestley circles away. Eisenstein Priestley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pudzianowski misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Pudzianowski shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Priestley's guard. Pudzianowski wants to control from the top but Priestley keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Priestley kicks Pudzianowski off and gets to his feet.

That's better than Pudzianowski was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Pudzianowski swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Priestley is now in Pudzianowski's guard. A big mistake from Pudzianowski there, giving up the dominant position! Pudzianowski looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Pudzianowski is looking to sweep but instead, Priestley has passed into half guard.

A close round but Mariusz Pudzianowski will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Priestley stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Pudzianowski shoots in for a double leg but Priestley sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Pudzianowski is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
It looks like Mariusz Pudzianowski has been cut. Priestley lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pudzianowski circles away quickly and effectively. Pudzianowski wants to clinch up but Priestley keeps it at a distance. Pudzianowski tries to score a power double leg takedown but Priestley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pudzianowski somewhat. Pudzianowski fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Eisenstein Priestley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Pudzianowski drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Priestley loads up on a big right hand but Pudzianowski slips the punch. Priestley scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Priestley lands with an overhand left. Pudzianowski dodges the punch combination from Priestley.
Mariusz Pudzianowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Priestley throws a body kick that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Priestley looks to land a combination but Pudzianowski avoids it well. Pudzianowski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Priestley's waist but Priestley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pudzianowski off to one side. Priestley lands with a hook. Pudzianowski tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Pudzianowski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Priestley was well out of range. Poor timing from Pudzianowski. Priestley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

The crowd cheers as Priestley lands an impressive looking overhand right. Pudzianowski doesn't seem phased though. Eisenstein Priestley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Priestley thows a body shot but no joy. Priestley looks to land a combination but Pudzianowski avoids it well. Priestley misses with a jab, cross combination.

Pudzianowski looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Pudzianowski is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Priestley still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Priestley has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Priestley looking to control and managing it successfully. Pudzianowski tries to reverse the position but Priestley maintains control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pudzianowski is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pudzianowski shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Priestley as he avoids it easily. Eisenstein Priestley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Pudzianowski tries to clinch up but Priestley circles away and keeps his distance. Priestley throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Pudzianowski closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Priestley is trying to stand.
Pudzianowski wants to control but Priestley is keeping him busy. Pudzianowski prevents Priestley from standing back up.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eisenstein Priestley. I think Priestley has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
