Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Billy D (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think D might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to AC/DC - TNT. Peter Dixon told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy D! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peter Dixon! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Dean Styles and Columbo Gatti.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dixon misses with an uppercut. D saw that one coming. D connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Dixon's hands. Dixon lands an overhand right. D ducks right into an uppercut from Dixon. D scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dixon doesn't seem bothered though. D misses with a straight right. D lands a nice hook to Dixon's body. Dixon takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. D lands a glancing blow to the side of Dixon's head. Dixon misses with an uppercut. D saw that one coming. Dixon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by D.
Dixon blocks a jab. Dixon throws a jab when D was well out of range. D throws a lazy right hand but Dixon sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Dixon lands a body shot.
D closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dixon did well to prevent D getting side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dixon is looking to control D's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dixon avoid being mounted? D trying to control the pace.
 That's one minute gone in the round. D wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dixon keeps working. D thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dixon's head.  It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. D throws a right hand that Dixon ducks under and follows up with a left that Dixon also avoids with ease. Dixon lands a nice looking kick to the body. D takes a step back to recover.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. D looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
D drives through with a takedown into guard. Dixon looking to hit a scissor sweep but D is one step ahead there. D has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. D trying to control the position from guard on top but Dixon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dixon avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dixon is on top in guard.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Dixon seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. D keeping moving, preventing Dixon from controlling successfully. D lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dixon! D throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Dixon tries to hold on but D postures up. BOOM! D connects with a massive shot to the dome!
 That's four minutes gone in the round. D lands a heavy elbow. Dixon wants to hold on but D pushes him away. D working the ground and pound effectively.
Dixon is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
D is in the full mount, landing strikes. Dixon is looking to get to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. D controlling his opponent. Poor strikes thrown by D there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Billy D dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Dixon throws a leg kick but D checks it. A swing and a miss from D. Dixon misses the shot to the body. D lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dixon circles away quickly and effectively. D lands with a shot to the body. D uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dixon.

Dixon misses with a looping right. Billy D seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. D takes a shot to the body in his stride.
D misses with a few strikes there.
Dixon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from D. D blocks a jab. D shoots in for a takedown but Dixon shows good takedown defense.
D shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dixon's guard. D wants to control from the top but Dixon keeps moving. D stands up over Dixon, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
 That's one minute gone in the round. D postures up in Dixon's guard and throws a big left but Dixon blocks it. Dixon wants to stand but D is controlling the position. D is in close to Dixon's body, working some short punches and elbows. Dixon looking to hit a scissor sweep but D is one step ahead there. Dixon is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. D pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dixon is keeping the position for now.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Dixon is trying to control the position but D postures up. Dixon looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. D throws an overhand right that lands on Dixon's shoulder, as Dixon tries to avoid the shot. D throws a series of punches but Dixon avoids them all with ease. D uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dixon. D just misses with a punch to the body.
D throws a nice looking combination but Dixon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dixon gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as D takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. D on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. D trying to control the position but instead, Dixon has worked for underhooks and has pushed D into the cage.
Dixon is fighting off a takedown attempt but D is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Dixon to the mat. Dixon regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Dixon wants to sweep but no luck. D slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Dixon working a defensive guard here.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Dixon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dixon stalling. Dixon prevents D from standing back up.
Dixon wants to lay and pray for a moment but D keeps working. Billy D overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dixon wants to stand up but D is controlling the position.
Dixon gets to his feet - back to striking we go! And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

and Dixon counters with a nice body shot. Dixon misses with a wild body shot. D misses with a hook. Dixon lands with a nice body kick. Dixon uses good head movement to avoid the hook from D. D thows a body shot but no joy. D keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dixon throws a hook but D avoids it easily. D cracks Dixon with an open hand slap. Dixon tries to clinch up but D circles away and keeps his distance. Dixon ducks under a wild hook from D. Dixon throws a big shot that misses. D jabbing away but nothing is landing. A looping hook to the body misses from Dixon. D does a little dance to reset his feet. D misses with a body punch
and D takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. D swinging wilding here.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Dixon scores with a nice head shot. Dixon looks to score with a jab to the body but D is just out of range. D ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
D fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dixon, pushing him back against the cage. D cracks Dixon with a nice body shot. D managing to block the knees to the body from Dixon.
D taking a breather. D blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Dixon misses with a short punch on the inside. Dixon using the Thai plumb to throw knees but D has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Dixon misses with a knee to the head. Dixon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. D lands a body shot. D lands a left hand that snaps the head of Dixon backwards. D misses with a shot to the kidneys.
D works on Dixon's body with a couple of short punches. D lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Dixon tries a knee to the head but D blocks it.
D is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Dixon can't fight it off and eventually D manages to take the fight to the floor. Dixon looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. D is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Dixon working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from D. D postures up in Dixon's guard and throws a big left but Dixon blocks it. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as D accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Dixon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst D is controlling him. D looking to pass the guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. D throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dixon works some decent striking defense from the bottom. D throws a strike but Dixon rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. D trying to control the position.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. D avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dixon blocks a jab. D is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dixon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. D avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. D scores with a decent looking hook. It looks like Billy D has been cut. Peter Dixon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Dixon misses with a hook. No luck with that takedown attempt from D. Dixon doesn't manage to clinch there - D circles away.
D will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Billy D. Well I reckon that's a shut out for D, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
