Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Penagos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Penagos comes to the cage accompanied by Somebody Gonna Get Their Ass Whooped!. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penagos misses with a few strikes there.
Penagos misses with the combination.
Pierre defending well as Penagos loads up on a big left hand.
Penagos ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Pierre misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Penagos swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Pierre counters with a left and a right that stings Penagos.
Pierre throws an overhand right that lands on Penagos's shoulder, as Penagos tries to avoid the shot.
Penagos's corner calls for a 1-2. Penagos obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like George Pierre has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pierre tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Penagos was well out of range. Poor timing from Pierre.
Pierre misses the jab.

Pierre throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Penagos counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Penagos tries to bum rush Pierre with a series of wild strikes but Pierre uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Pierre feints and as Penagos raises his hands in defense, Pierre changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Penagos wants to stand up but Pierre is controlling him.

Pierre wants to pass the guard but Penagos is keeping the position.

Penagos wants to stand and escape but Pierre is having none of it.

Penagos on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Penagos tries to get out of the position.
Pierre is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

A looping hook to the body misses from Pierre. Penagos does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Penagos makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Pierre throws a hook to the side of Penagos's head but Penagos sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Penagos throws a nice looking combination but Pierre bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Penagos works the jab nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pierre throws a left and a right that both miss

and Penagos counters with a crisp one two that drops Pierre! Penagos thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Pierre to his feet! Pierre is in big trouble!

Penagos fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Pierre is still on wobbly legs! Can Penagos finish him?
Penagos misses with a jab, cross combination.
Pierre walks into a stiff left hand from Penagos.
Penagos lands with a big right hook that stumbles Pierre - he's out on his feet here! Penagos follows up with another monster hook that separates Pierre from consciousness! Pierre falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Penagos stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
