Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boris Tetriakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Goran Kovac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tetriakov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Arsonist's Prayer. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boris Tetriakov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Goran Kovac! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovac gets caught flat footed, as Tetriakov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Tetriakov preventing the sweep. Tetriakov trying to control the position from guard on top but Kovac is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kovac is trying to keep Tetriakov in close.
Tetriakov advances position into side control! You can see the frustration on Kovac's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Tetriakov trying to control the action but Kovac is working from the bottom. Tetriakov throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Tetriakov cracks Kovac with a big elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kovac being controlled for a moment. Tetriakov lands a few punches from side control.
 That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Kovac's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Tetriakov wants to control but Kovac is keeping him busy. Tetriakov tries to move to full mount but Kovac actually manages to regain half guard. Tetriakov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kovac's head. Tetriakov trying to mount his opponent but Kovac defends it. Tetriakov trying to control the action but Kovac is working from the bottom. Tetriakov scoring with strikes to the body and head.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Tetriakov controlling the action here. Tetriakov has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Tetriakov misses with a head shot. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Tetriakov lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Kovac hang on? Kovac tries to hold on but Tetriakov pushes him away. Kovac keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

It looks like Goran Kovac has been cut. Kovac is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Tetriakov unloading with bombs! Tetriakov is in the full mount, landing strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tetriakov wants to control the pace but Kovac is squirming around nicely. Tetriakov lands a big shot there that rocks Kovac but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Kovac is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Tetriakov jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle�. Ooooh, that looks tight� Kovac is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kovac and Tetriakov has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Tetriakov is breathing heavily. Tetriakov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kovac keeps working. Kovac is looking to reverse the position. Kovac can't do much from the bottom here. Tetriakov in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Kovac tries to get back to half guard but can't.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Tetriakov throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Tetriakov decides to take the fight back to the feet. Kovac shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Tetriakov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kovac's guard.
Kovac is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Tetriakov has his hands clasped together but Kovac extends an breaks Tetriakov's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Kovac.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Goran Kovac!
