The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krantz fails with a takedown attempt.

Krantz decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Krantz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Talec keeps working.
Krantz is looking to advance position but Talec won't allow it.
Krantz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Krantz wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Talec, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Talec is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Talec can do anything to dispel that myth.
Krantz is trying to control. Talec wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Talec wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Krantz's closed guard. He's half up but Krantz has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Krantz pivots and extends the arm, Talec falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Krantz! Well done that man!
