Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yoshihro Akiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ibi Dikki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dikki has chosen as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dikki misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Akiyama looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Dikki!
Dikki is squirming around, avoiding Akiyama's attempts to control the action.

Dikki is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Akiyama is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Dikki thows a huge punch but Akiyama dodges it nicely.
Dikki is pressing down on Akiyama's thigh, looking to free his foot. Akiyama is holding on for now.
Dikki looks to land a strike but Akiyama avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dikki stands and throws Akiyama's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Dikki wants to control for a moment but Akiyama uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Yoshihro Akiyama will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Dikki lands with a slapping head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Akiyama closes the distance and clinches up with Dikki, looking for a takedown. Akiyama pushes Dikki against the ropes but Dikki circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Akiyama counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dikki's guard now.

Dikki is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Dikki is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Dikki prevents Akiyama from improving his position.
Dikki is looking for a kimura but Akiyama is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dikki to get the leverage.
Dikki is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Dikki is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Akiyama is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Akiyama has escaped and now he's on top!

Akiyama throws a strike but Dikki rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Akiyama counters with a nice double leg into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Akiyama accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's time! Akiyama's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Akiyama bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
