Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sor Banchongsak.
Maltz slips under a jab.
Maltz gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Maltz jumps guard but Sor Banchongsak stands there with Maltz around his waist. Maltz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sor Banchongsak lands a hook to the side of the head.
Sor Banchongsak tries a knee to the head but Maltz blocks it.
Sor Banchongsak is fighting off a takedown attempt but Maltz is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Sor Banchongsak to the mat. Sor Banchongsak regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Sor Banchongsak can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Maltz controls the pace.
Maltz trying to control but Sor Banchongsak is working from the bottom.
Maltz drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sor Banchongsak looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sor Banchongsak looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sor Banchongsak!
Maltz manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Maltz tries to get to full guard but Sor Banchongsak has control of the leg.
Maltz won't allow Sor Banchongsak to pass to mount.
Well, if Sor Banchongsak is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Maltz trying to hold on to Sor Banchongsak's head to control him but Sor Banchongsak postures up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Sor Banchongsak stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Maltz to get to his feet.
Maltz throws a head kick but Sor Banchongsak moves out of range.
Sor Banchongsak tries to clinch but Maltz is having none of it.
Maltz feints and as Sor Banchongsak raises his hands in defense, Maltz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sor Banchongsak manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Maltz takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Maltz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sor Banchongsak circles away.
Sor Banchongsak scores with a hook to the body. Maltz takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Maltz looks gassed!
Sor Banchongsak cracks Maltz with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Sor Banchongsak defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Maltz.
Dieselnoi Sor Banchongsak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gessinger Maltz.
Sor Banchongsak lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Maltz is rocked!
